Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to take on a new locum opportunity, to work as the Mental Health Practitioner in the Community CAMHS Team
Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Locum, ongoing block booking.
Pay Rate: £26 - £31 per hour (assignment rate):
- Days: £26 - £31 per hour
- Nights/Saturdays: £33 - £39 per hour
- Sundays/Bank Holidays: £41 - £47 per hour
Main Duties:
- Comprehensive Assessment & Treatment: Conduct in-depth assessments and provide tailored treatment plans for children and young people under 18, addressing their mental health needs.
- Flexible Assessments: Carry out both face-to-face and remote assessments for young people presenting with mental health difficulties within the community.
- Caseload Management: Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely appointments and progressing towards discharge when appropriate.
- Risk Assessment & Management: Provide thorough clinical risk assessments and create collaborative risk management and safety plans for young people, including those exhibiting self-injurious behaviours.
- Collaborative Care Plans: Work closely with young people and their families to develop personalised care plans that reflect their needs and goals.
- Evidence-Based Interventions: Deliver interventions aligned with NICE guidelines, ensuring children and young people receive the highest standard of care through local pathways.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to the care of young people and their families/carers.
- Creative Engagement: Use innovative approaches to engage and motivate young people and their families, helping them stay committed to their care plans.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date care records, ensuring both paper and electronic documentation meet professional and organisational standards.
- Therapeutic Group Facilitation: Participate in the planning and delivery of therapeutic groups and workshops aimed at supporting children, young people, and their families.
Requirements of the Registered Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
- Valid NMC Registration
