Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Quality Assurance Contracts Officer to work full time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent Quality Assurance Contracts Officer job is up to £37,038per annum.

Main duties:

  • To deliver a programme of Quality Assurance to commissioned service providers. To visit commissioned establishments and monitor standards , working with providers to develop their services to embed good practice. To write reports of these visits and liaise as necessary with the relevant inspection and registration authorities.
  • Ensure due diligence checks on provider records, systems, training and processes. Ensuring that adequate information is obtained about providers to enable financial and risk assessments to be undertaken. That the necessary records are appropriately retained.
  • Proactively monitor contracts and ensure Service Level Agreements contain clear standards, outcomes, performance indicators and financial envelope.
  • To challenge providers where the performance on contracts and Individual Placement Agreements is not up to the expected standards. Taking action as appropriate where non-compliance results in unacceptable standards and poor practice.
  • To develop and maintain a knowledge/database of independent sector service providers, prepare reports for senior managers or council lead officers, in relation to providers where there are concerns or a drop in performance or standards.
  • To be a source of advice and expertise on commissioning standards and be the link for other commissioners and for providers and senior management.
  • To liaise, problem solve and negotiate with Service Leads and commissioned service providers in the event of dispute or lack of clarity in communication or information to ensure the best interests of the child are met.
  • Undertaking audits to ensure compliance with the Council Policies and Procedures and relevant children’s legislation.
  • To keep abreast of relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the commissioning of services with partners or the external marketplace.
  • To undertake any other responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.

Requirements of a Quality Assurance Contracts Officer:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Relevant experience of commissioning work.
  • Expereince of developing professional working relationships both internally and externally.
