The salary for this permanent Project Manager job is £350 per day.

Main Duties:

  • Support Delivery of Objectives: Support the achievement of the service area's and Council's objectives and priorities through engagement, consultation, and negotiation with stakeholders, utilizing persuasive skills.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and enhance professional knowledge, skills, and experience to improve service delivery and support colleagues within the service area and Council-wide.
  • Corporate Transformation Plan: Ensure the collaborative development, publication, implementation, review, and evaluation of the Council's Corporate Transformation Plan.
  • Change Management & Project Management: Possess a detailed understanding of change management and the fundamental concepts and principles of project management.
  • Team Support: Influence, motivate, and monitor teams to ensure the delivery of agreed objectives and activities aligned with corporate transformation goals.
  • Time Management: Utilise effective time management skills to comply with demanding and challenging timescales.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research and analysis to support service area activities related to change management and transformation.
  • Creative Solutions: Plan and contribute to the implementation of creative and innovative solutions to various transformation challenges.
  • Budget Responsibility: Manage limited budgets following the Council’s financial and contractual regulations and procedures.
  • High-Standard Support: Provide high-standard support, advice, and delivery across the Council on transformation initiatives.
  • Project Documentation: Contribute to the development and communication of project documentation, including research, analysis, consultation support, and decision-making.
  • System Management: Implement and manage systems to monitor implementation and progress, evaluate impact, and ensure compliance with agreed timescales and key objectives.
  • Collaborative Approach: Adopt a collaborative, supportive, challenging, and, where appropriate, hands-on approach in advising, supporting, and guiding colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Communication: Prepare, communicate, and exchange technical, complex, contentious, or sensitive information to a range of audiences.
  • Service Improvement: Support and contribute ideas to develop plans that achieve objectives for improving services
  • Reporting: Produce and present accurate, detailed, and complex reports both verbally and in writing on matters related to the service area.

Requirements of the Project Manager:

  • Significant experience of being a senior leader
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Available to start ASAP
