Role and Responsibilities:

As a Principal Cardiac Physiologist, you will oversee the daily management of the cardiology service, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery. Your duties will include:

  • Managing patient issues and supporting non-clinical staff in booking and arranging appointments.
  • Handling capacity and demand, ordering stock, and managing invoicing for high-cost consumables.
  • Addressing consultant queries and supporting clinical team members.
  • Participating in technical invasive cardiology services and assisting with a wide range of cardiac procedures in both outpatient and angiography suite settings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
  • Proficiency in performing a full range of non-invasive and invasive investigations.
  • Capability to run outpatient clinics for echo, treadmills, Holter device clinics, and pacemaker follow-ups, including ILR, CRT, ICD, and brady devices.
  • Professional accreditation with BSE and/or HRUK/IBHRE is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage a team effectively, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
