Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Practice Manager within the Adult Mental Health Team to work Full Time based in Kensington.
The salary for this permanent Practice Manager job is up to £56,565per annum.
Main duties:
- To be a professional lead for mental health social work within the Team and the wider service, and for colleagues of all disciplines seeking advice from the service. To carry a small caseload including complex assessments, court proceedings and joint work. To undertake continuous Risk Assessment and Risk Management for users working with the team.
- To keep up to date with research in relation to mental health and social care legislation, especially the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Acts; to disseminate outcomes of research and show how it affects practice. To contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- To attend and promote professional standards in Team Meetings, handover meetings and other meetings as required and chair in Manager’s absence as appropriate.
- To participate and undertake standards audits of social work practice within the team. To support the role of the Team Manager in embedding professional standards of social work practice and quality assurance.
- To manage few safeguarding adults enquiries in the team, accessing training as required. To identify Child Protection issues and to implement procedures as required.
- Accountable for reviewing the key performance indicators monthly and taking appropriate action to manage areas of concern in a proactive and timely way, monitoring the performance of the team, the service and the Department regularly to ensure that performance indicators are being met and any concerns are proactively managed.
- Accountable for ensuring systems are in place to monitor service delivery, ensuring quality and financial standards are met, and working within the designated Governance and Quality Assurance Systems.
- Accountable for developing an effective annual business plan with the Team Manager for the portfolio of services managed to meet the timetable set by the Business Development Team.
- Accountable for developing a workforce competent to meet service needs through retention, training and development and performance management.
- Accountable for any other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Service Manager to deliver the Local Authorities Health and Social Services responsibilities and those appropriate to the post.
- Work alongside the ASC Learning and Development Team to plan and provide relevant learning and development interventions to meet individual, team, and service needs. To ensure staff receive regular and consistent supervision of their practice. This is to also include ensuring that individual learning needs of staff are met, through both core and mandatory training, and Continuing Professional Development.
Requirements of this Practice Manager role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
