Exciting Opportunity: Locum Band 6 Inpatient Mental Health Physiotherapist Location: The Bennion Centre, Groby Rd, Leicester LE3 9DZ, UK Pay Rate: £25 per hour, On-going Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey as a Physiotherapist in the vibrant city of Leicester? We are on the lookout for an inquisitive and energetic individual to join our team at The Bennion Centre. This ongoing position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose between part-time or full-time work. In this role, you will be at the forefront of mental health services for older people in an inpatient setting, bringing your expertise to a multidisciplinary team.

What you will do:

  • Provide specialised physiotherapy assessments and treatments for patients with functional mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and psychologists, to create comprehensive care plans for patient recovery and discharge.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of mental and physical health needs to inform patient care and support discharge planning.
  • Participate actively in disengagement training to enhance patient interactions and outcomes.
  • Work closely with community services, including community intensive teams and outreach services, to ensure continuity of care for older individuals with functional and organic mental health challenges.


To excel in this role, you must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). There is no requirement for a driving license as our services are well-coordinated internally and within the community.
