What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs of individuals with autism and learning disabilities, focusing on those in supported living or transitioning into it.
- Develop and implement intervention plans using sensory and environmental strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
- Provide training and support to staff on moving and handling techniques as well as equipment and adaptations.
- Enhance citizen independence by incorporating assistive technology and innovative care solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the suitability of accommodation and support structures for individuals with complex needs.
Requirements:
- Must have HCPC registration.
- At least 2 years of experience specialising in learning disabilities.
- A well-developed knowledge of autism and managing challenging behaviours is essential.
- Car driving is preferable.
