What you will do:

  • Manage complex cases involving long-term and chronic conditions in both adults and paediatrics
  • Conduct manual handling assessments and develop related care plans
  • Perform postural assessments and oversee specialist seating and wheelchair prescriptions
  • Identify needs for environmental adaptations, assessing and recommending minor and major adaptations, such as stair lifts and shower facilities
  • Supervise and support junior Occupational Therapists and Assistants within the team
  • Travel throughout Ceredigion for home assessments, with flexibility for hybrid working as agreed


Additional responsibilities for the Service Development Role:

  • Lead an innovative Occupational Therapy service development project
  • Improve service delivery and establish new standards for assessment and goal-setting
  • Work collaboratively across departments to enhance outcomes and encourage cultural change
  • Provide mentorship and supervision within the enablement team
  • Drive project progress with a focus on rehabilitation, manual handling, and user education
