Duties:
- Provide dietetic expertise to patients on the hyperacute and acute stroke ward
- Representing Dietetics at speciality, governance and best interests meetings
- Provide wider dietetic cover during times of annual leave / sickness
- Support the stroke Band 5, Dietetic Assistant, and Student Dietitians during placement
- Become competent in NG insertion, bridle placement and delivering training in these skills
- Take an active role in clinical audits, service evaluations and research and disseminating findings in academic journals, professional magazines and conferences
- Deliver nutrition-related topics, to a range of health professionals’ e.g., nursing and medical staff and students
- Contribute to the implementation of the Trust Nutrition strategy
Requirements of the Stroke/Nutrition Dietitian:
- Degree or equivalent in dietetics
- Recent UK experience working as an Dietitian
- Registered with the HCPC to work in the UK
