Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking experienced Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioners to take on new locum opportunities based in Isle of Wight.
Location: Isle of Wight
Contract Type: Locum, 3-month contract
Pay Rates: £30 per hour (assignment rate)
Shift Pattern: The hours are set 09:00 am - 17:00 pm, Monday - Friday only
Duties:
- Provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals and work in partnership with other agencies to provide seamless, flexible services which meet service user and carer need
- Be responsible, together with the wider team, for providing care, interventions and health promotion for people on the Early Intervention In Psychosis and At Risk Mental State care pathways
- Undertake a supervisory role in respect to multi-disciplinary junior team members and work alongside the Team Leader on clinical issues such as therapeutic approaches and care co-ordination
- Work as an autonomous practitioner, as well as taking all opportunities to become actively involved in training and teaching programmes
Requirements of the Senior Mental Health Practitioners:
- BN Nursing Mental health or RMN or Dip SW or Dip OT or BSc OT with live registration with accrediting body
- Experienced community RMN’s who can get up to speed quickly
- Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under their care and to monitor progress
- Be aware and act within the requirements of the Mental Health Act at all times, including Community Treatment Orders
- Demonstrate an enhanced working knowledge of EIP models and philosophies
- Evidence of on-going development and post registration training
- Demonstrable Care Co- Ordinator Competencies
- Training in Risk assessment and management skills
- Experience in the assessment and management of people with serious and enduring mental health
- Formal PgCert qualification in recognised psychological therapy
- Supplementary or Independent non-medical prescribing qualification
- Post registration training in evidence based psychological treatments
- Evidence of undertaking audit work
- Nurse Mentorship Qualification
- Training in the management of violence and aggression/breakaway
