What you will do:

- Provide expert clinical guidance to healthcare professionals and patients in the pharmacy setting
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medicines, optimizing therapeutic outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to deliver integrated patient care
- Undertake medication reviews and reconciliation for both inpatients and outpatients
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new pharmacy services
- Train, mentor, and support junior pharmacists and other healthcare staff
- Exercise initiative in auditing and improving pharmaceutical practices within the Trust
- Play a key role in medication safety initiatives and the development of clinical guidelines

To be successful in this role, candidates must hold a first degree in Pharmacy (Masters) or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and possess a Post-Graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or corresponding experience. A leadership qualification or training would be an advantage, as you will need to inspire and guide others in your team.

Requirements of the Pharmacist:

  • GPHC Registration
  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacist within a UK based NHS Pharmacy setting
  • NVQ or equivalent – Pharmacist qualification
