Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Older People Community - Hounslow, UK - £27 per hour

Are you ready for an exciting opportunity as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Older People Community team in the bustling town of Hounslow? This is an ongoing contract offering £27 per hour. We welcome both full-time applications, and part-time will also be considered.

What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions utilising the occupational therapy process to support older patients.
  • Deliver personalised, goal-orientated rehabilitation programmes aimed at enabling patients to remain at home, reducing care package needs, and delaying care home placements.
  • Actively develop and implement a comprehensive framework of care that reflects a holistic approach to service user needs, aligning with the seven pillars of clinical governance.
  • Prescribe and order adaptive equipment ensuring patients are educated in their safe use.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet the complex needs of service users effectively.
  • Engage in professional development activities to keep skills up-to-date and maintain high care standards.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
