Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties:
- Be an autonomous practitioner, assisting in the coordination and provision of a specialist occupational therapy service to patients within the designated case load
- Provide assessment and treatment for patients with a wide range of complex physical, sensory, perceptual and cognitive problems within inpatient, which may include visits to assess the home environment
- Manage their own caseload working alongside the multidisciplinary team and other external agencies to ensure specialist treatment plans, including physio, Social Services, specialist nurses etc
- Work collaboratively with patients, family, carers and with colleagues in health and social services to ensure effective discharge planning, policy and delivery of services to this patient group
- Deputise in the absence of the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to represent the department at relevant meetings
Requirements of the Inpatient Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
