Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Lead Negotiator (Procuremnt Specialist advisor to assist Communities, Environment and Resident Services Dept renegotiate energy and waste contracts) to work for Nottingham City Council.
This is a full-time locum role paying £768.18 - £960 per day
Key Responsibilites:
- Provide expert advice to the Communities, Environment, and Resident Services Department on procurement best practices, risk management, and market trends.
- Develop tailored negotiation strategies that reflect the department’s environmental and community service priorities.
- Act as the department’s representative in discussions with contractors and suppliers, ensuring that community interests are prioritized.
- Benchmark contract terms against industry standards and other public sector agreements to ensure competitiveness.
- Ensure that contracts support the department’s goals for reducing carbon emissions, enhancing recycling rates, and improving community resilience.
Applicant Requirements:
- Educated to a Academic Degree Level or equivalent or a significant level of experience relevant to the post.
- Recent experience.
- Experience of supporting a team according to available resources and skill levels and working co-operatively with others.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of licensing
- Good organisational skills
