What you will do:

  • Oversee the performance improvement and management of statutory social work within the Adolescent Safeguarding Team and SHIFT Practice.
  • Ensure robust oversight of the most vulnerable children, providing safety and protection while supporting timely assessments and planning.
  • Assist managers with oversight of contacts, referrals, and duty tasks; lead weekly performance meetings and oversee case supervision.
  • Lead team development sessions, enhancing skills and knowledge in statutory social work functions.
  • Foster a culture of partnership and innovation across the organisation, prioritising child-focused, flexible, and adaptable services.
  • The Adolescent Safeguarding Team works with young people aged 13 - 17 years old who are at risk of exploitation, violence or other harm outside the home.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional social work qualification and Social Work registration.
  • Proven evidence of continuing professional development
