Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Independent Reviewing Officer to work Part Time based in Slough.


The salary for this Fostering Independent Reviewing Officer job is up to £46,579 per annum.

Main duties:

  • You’ll need to advocate and champion our Children Looked After (CLA) and ensure care planning promote early permanence planning. And you’ll need to be skilled in engaging and supporting the participation of children in the review and planning processes.
  • As an IRO, you’re crucial in ensuring that CLA voices are at the centre of our work as corporate parents, ensuring our children have opportunities to fully participate in making decisions with other agencies and their Social Worker.
  • To be able to do this effectively, you’ll need to be a Qualified Social Worker with extensive post qualifying experience and be registered with Social Work England.

Requirements of this Independent Reviewing Officer job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Extensive experience as a children’s Social Worker, preferably with management experience at Assistant Team Manager level or above.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
