The role is offering a salary of £70,000 per annum.
Working Hours: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and a rota basis and there is no OOHs.
The team: You will be working in a friendly team of 5 Vets, 5 Nurses, two student nurses and 2 Animal Care Assistants.
Summary:
- If experienced, you will ideally be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases, an interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous but is not essential.
- We have a high exotics caseload so ideally, looking for a Head Vet who has strong exotics experience.
- Keen to take on a supportive role and demonstrate key skills including building strong relationships with clients, patients, and the wider team.
- Manage a team of 5 vets - supporting the vets clinically and managing the team in the daily running of the practice.

What we're looking for from Head Veterinary Surgeon applicants:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university.
- Membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Previous experience as a veterinary surgeon is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary best practices and medical regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
- Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and effectively.
- Willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
