  • Monday 9.15-3pm (minus 60 min lunch break
  • Tuesday 10.30-4.45pm (minus 45 min lunch break)
  • Wednesday 9.15-4pm (minus 60 min lunch break)
  • Thursday 9.15-4.15pm (minus 60 min lunch break)
  • Friday 9.15-4.15pm (minus 60 min lunch break)

Main Duties:

  • Course Delivery

    • Teach a range of courses in game design, development, and related subjects to students at various levels.
    • Develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical workshops, and seminars that cover key concepts in game development, including programming, graphics, and game mechanics.
  • Curriculum Development

    • Design and update course content to reflect current industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Create and implement instructional materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Student Assessment

    • Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, projects, exams, and practical demonstrations.
    • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Industry Collaboration

    • Establish and maintain connections with industry professionals and organizations to ensure the relevance of course content.
    • Facilitate guest lectures, industry visits, and networking opportunities for students.
  • Academic Support

    • Offer academic support and mentoring to students, addressing their individual learning needs and career aspirations.
    • Hold regular office hours for one-on-one meetings with students to discuss progress and provide guidance.

    • Organize and oversee student projects, competitions, and exhibitions related to game design.
  • Administrative Duties

    • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including grading, maintaining student records, and preparing reports.
    • Ensure that all academic and administrative duties are conducted in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Professional engineering qualifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) are advantageous.
  • Significant industry experience in mechanical engineering, including practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Previous experience as an assessor or trainer in mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Proof of eligibility to work and reside in the UK.
  • Current DBS check and references covering the past 3 years.
