Countryside Ranger (Facilities and Environmental Services)

Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Countryside Ranger to work for Derbyshire council.

This is a full-time locum role paying £14.26 - £18.19 per hour

Key Responsibilites:

• Assist with the management, maintenance and care of countryside service sites, facilities and public rights of way.
• Contribute to specific projects and initiatives as directed by line management.
• Participate in a range of activities/initiatives to promote the countryside service and countryside management.
• Prepare reports and information, including analysis, for internal colleagues and line management.
• Undertake site inspections , prepare reports and minor maintenance schemes and monitor contracts and report on progress as necessary.
• Undertake short term planning to ensure projects/events are efficiently organised and that work is completed in accordance with required standards and within pre-determined timescales.
• Maintain manual and electronic record systems associated with the efficient operation of the countryside service.

Applicant Requirements:

• Educated to a Academic Degree Level or equivalent or a significant level of experience relevant to the post.
• Recent experience.
• Experience of supporting a team according to available resources and skill levels and working co-operatively with others.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of licensing
• Good organisational skills
