Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Connected Carer to work full time based in Medway.
The salary for this permanent Connected Carer job is up to £41,567 per annum.
Main duties:
- To contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Children’s Social Care Service, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision.
- To work with Special Guardians, connected carers and children placed in connected carer arrangements, assessing their support needs, providing support as appropriate, and making ASF applications to deliver specialist therapeutic support.
- To assess, plan, use evidence based analytical practice to implement and evaluate safeguarding measures to ensure all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- As required to complete a range of assessment related to connected carers, including Special Guardianship, Viability and Connected Carers assessments.
- To complete all assessments within regulated deadlines and timescales, and submit these reports to Court or Fostering Panel as required.
- To maintain accurate written and computerised records, in accordance with agreed procedures and in order to meet legislative responsibilities.
- To co-ordinate, and take a lead role in multi-professional/agency groups and other professional meetings.
- At the discretion of the Head of Service, such other activities as may from time to time be agreed consistent with the nature of the job described above.
Requirements of this role:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
