Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role within the Specialist Mental Health Team.

Location: Braintree

Pay Rate: £26.28 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract Type: Locum, 6-month contract/ongoing block booking.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (hours flexible between 8am and 8pm). Part time will be considered.

Role Overview:
In this role, you'll be supporting clients facing a variety of mental health conditions, including Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, and OCD. Your role is pivotal in providing care coordination, assessment, and support throughout their mental health journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Assessment & Care Coordination
    Assess and manage a diverse caseload of clients with mental health conditions, creating tailored care plans that meet individual needs.

  • Clinic Cover
    Support the Depot Clinic and Clozapine Clinic by providing cover when needed. This may become a regular part of your role or may involve ad-hoc cover as required.

  • Duty Service Support
    Participate in the duty service on a rota basis, working as part of a team of four clinicians to ensure continuous care and support.

  • Team Collaboration
    Attend regular team meetings to share updates, insights, and plan care strategies as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ward Reviews & Discharge Planning
    Attend ward reviews for clients admitted to hospital, actively contributing to their discharge planning and ensuring a smooth transition back to the community.

  • Care Act Assessments
    Conduct assessments and provide reviews in line with the Care Act 2014, ensuring that clients receive the appropriate care and support.

  • Supervision of Junior Staff
    Provide guidance, supervision, and support to junior staff, fostering a supportive environment and helping them develop their skills and confidence.

 

Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
  • NMC Registration
