Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role.
Location: Cambridge
Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate)
Contract Type: Locum, 6-month contract/ongoing block booking.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (hours flexible between 8am and 8pm). Part time will be considered.
Main Duties:
- Set a positive example and ensure clear communication with a variety of people in different situations.
- Share updates on client progress, assessments, and care plans with the wider team.
- Keep accurate and complete records of client care.
- Talk to clients and their families about care plans, assessments, and treatments.
- Adjust your communication style to overcome any barriers and ensure clear understanding.
- Focus on your own growth and help others to develop their skills.
- Regularly review your work and apply best practices based on evidence.
- Identify areas for personal improvement and take advantage of learning opportunities.
- Support colleagues by acting as a mentor and supervisor.
- Help create a workplace that encourages learning for all staff.
- Assist with appraisals to support team development.
- Follow professional guidelines and the Trust’s Nursing Strategy.
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following health and safety rules.
- Identify and manage risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Take the right action during emergencies and report incidents when necessary.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- NMC Registration
