Main Duties:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations that meet patient needs within the organisation's Imaging Departments.
- Ensure that the service and staff uphold the highest standards of clinical care.
- Apply specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to provide advice across multiple sites as needed.
- Collaborate with the Imaging Manager to implement service improvements, ensuring the standardisation and integration of policies, protocols, and procedures across all organisational locations.
- Provide operational support to the General Manager at SMC, including acting as a deputy in their absence.
Requirements of the Clinical Specialist Radiographer:
- Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) in Radiography with current HCPC registration
- Postgraduate qualification in MRI/Medical Imaging
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership
- Familiarity with clinical and corporate governance and its practical application
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and its practical application
