Main Duties:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations that meet patient needs within the organisation's Imaging Departments.
  • Ensure that the service and staff uphold the highest standards of clinical care.
  • Apply specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to provide advice across multiple sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Imaging Manager to implement service improvements, ensuring the standardisation and integration of policies, protocols, and procedures across all organisational locations.
  • Provide operational support to the General Manager at SMC, including acting as a deputy in their absence.

Requirements of the Clinical Specialist Radiographer:

  • Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) in Radiography with current HCPC registration
  • Postgraduate qualification in MRI/Medical Imaging
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership
  • Familiarity with clinical and corporate governance and its practical application
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and its practical application
