Exciting locum opportunity! We are looking for a Band 7 Prison Pharmacist specialising in Clinical services to join the team at HMP Wandsworth in the UK for a three-month position. Earn a competitive salary of £32 per hour, offering you the flexibility of locum work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Working full-time, you will play a vital role in managing and optimising medicines for offenders, preparing them for release and ensuring their health needs are met.

What you will do:
- Reconcile medications at prison reception and upon discharge, identifying and managing changes alongside GPs when required
- Produce post-release medication care plans and liaise with community pharmacists to ensure continuation of care
- Set up systems for medication continuity, especially for high-risk groups needing compliance aids
- Work with hospital colleagues to manage patients at risk from medicine-related complications
- Assist with Medicines Use Reviews and repeat prescribing within the prison setting
- Conduct SystmOne searches to identify high-risk patient groups and contribute to public health campaigns such as adult immunisations
- Provide leadership and education to healthcare teams to ensure compliance with CQC standards for medicine use
Requirements:
- Masters degree of Pharmacy or equivalent
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of GB (GPhC)
- Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy/Mental Health or equivalent (or working towards)
- Evidence of CPD
- Previous prison/hospital/community pharmacy experience in the UK
