Main Duties:

  • Patient Assessment:

  • Support the assessment of patients' health and well-being across a complex and dynamic caseload.
  • Care Delivery:

  • Assist in delivering care tailored to meet the health and well-being needs of individuals.
  • Communication:

  • Provide and handle complex, sensitive, or contentious information effectively.
  • Professional Development:

  • Continuously develop your own knowledge and skills, while also supporting the development of others.
  • Health and Safety:

  • Promote best practices in health, safety, and security.
  • Service Improvement:

  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing healthcare services.

Requirements of the Children and Young Persons Nurse:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted NMC PIN.
  • Experience working on a children’s ward.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision.
  • Completed Child Protection Level 3 training.
  • Paediatric Resuscitation Training.
  • EPALS certification or equivalent.
