What you will do:
- Provide professional supervision and leadership, collaborating with managers and staff to contribute to an efficient and effective service team.
- Assume a lead practitioner role, fostering evidence-based practices, particularly in risk enablement and safeguarding.
- Promote a strength-based approach that emphasizes independence and well-being, empowering individuals to manage their own needs and uncertainties.
- Act as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or Best Interest Assessor (BIA), as required.
- Champion professional development, supporting reflective supervision, mentoring, and coaching of team members.
- Deliver professional supervision to develop staff in line with professional and service standards.
- Manage a reduced caseload of complex work and initiate outcomes to meet individual needs.
- Oversee and ensure the effective completion of annual reviews and case management.
- Plan and prioritize workload to deliver exceptional service.
- Address and resolve service delivery issues efficiently, utilising available resources effectively.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
