Sanctuary named Best Large Business in Suffolk
By Andrew Pirie
Sanctuary continues its winning streak with another award win. This time at the Suffolk Business Awards where we were named Best Large Business.
The Judges were incredibly impressed with how people are at the heart of everything Sanctuary does, remarking how we have “a real understanding of customers as well as staff and their wider families”.
It is our “ability and willingness to provide solutions to customers, sometimes taking on industry wide and historical challenges” that really stood out to the judging panel though.
2020 has certainly been a year for historical challenges, especially for our community of health and social care professionals who continue to work tirelessly hard through the pandemic.
CEO of Sanctuary, James Rook, said:
“There are many occasions when we’ve needed to rapidly respond with a solution to help our colleagues in the NHS and Social Services this year. Not once have we been unable to help at a moment’s notice. That’s what makes our people special. Everyone at Sanctuary cares. We don’t just place people. Our impact is much more profound than that.
“We are a solutions-driven business whose aim it is to help strengthen frontline health and social care services.”
It’s this very commitment that has seen Sanctuary continue to grow whilst other recruiters have contracted over the past couple of years.
In his interview with the East Anglian Daily Times, James added:
“A huge thank you goes out to our employees for their relentless commitment and to our clients and candidates who enable us to make a positive impact.”
We must say, this year’s shortlist was impressive. We were up against Adnams, Morrison Freight and Muntons, all of which share our commitment to people. This makes us particularly proud to be living and working in Suffolk.
Whilst the pandemic put a stop to the usual evening celebrations, we’ve been celebrating in our own way by congratulating our staff and thanking our community.
