Contributing to Suffolk's economic growth
By Andrew Pirie
At Sanctuary, we believe that we have an important role to play in our local business community. As one of Ipswich’s largest employers, we are aware of the impact that we have both locally and regionally. In the midst of a turbulent year, both politically and economically, it’s pleasing to discover that our county is continuing to prosper, making Suffolk an exciting and thriving place to live and work.
Every year, the Suffolk Limited report is published by accountancy firm Grant Thornton, in conjunction with legal experts Birketts. For almost 20 years, they have provided an annual report which highlights the economic performance of the largest businesses in the area. The report not only provides a detailed analysis of how the county is doing collectively, but it allows businesses such as ourselves to benchmark progress against our peers.
This year, the report has shown that Suffolk is an extremely prosperous area, with wages, turnover, and employment increasing throughout the region. We are extremely proud of our Suffolk roots and we believe that it's an area which is continuing to flourish, and it’s a joy to work alongside some fantastic local businesses who excel in their own sectors.
Sanctuary is officially one of Suffolk’s top companies
A key part of the Suffolk Limited report is a breakdown of the top 100 companies in the area which has been compiled using publicly available accounts. This list demonstrates the companies which are contributing the most to the region through profit, turnover and employment opportunities.
We are absolutely delighted that Sanctuary Personnel is placed at number 14 on this list. It shows our impact upon our local area and recognises that we are one of our region’s top performers.
Sanctuary Personnel is an ambitious company and we’re continually working hard to improve our services for our clients, communities and employees.
It’s been an exciting year for us; not only did we deliver our new brand style, but we invested heavily into a new website which has consolidated all of our divisions under one umbrella. Feedback from our health, social work and criminal justice communities tells us that you love our new look as much as we do, and we’re very excited to be heading towards the end of the year on such a positive note.
Our CEO James Rook says:
“It’s been an extremely exciting year for us and being publicly named within the top 100 companies in Suffolk is a huge honour. We’re extremely committed to working in Suffolk and we are keen to carry on our hard work and hopefully, in the next year or two, we’ll be entering the top 10!
I’m extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of every single member of the Sanctuary team. Their efforts are what contribute to our success so I would like to thank them all for their input. I know that we’ll continue to have further success and it’s a great achievement to be finishing 2019 on such a high.”
