Case Study: Berkshire Healthcare NHS

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust is a long and established client of Sanctuary Health. Over the past 6 years, Sanctuary Health has been quick to identify hard-working highly qualified healthcare professionals, often at short notice, for the Trust.
The Challenge
Since February 2013, Sanctuary Health has been engaged with the Trust as a preferred supplier on the CPP framework. Being a foundation trust, they required candidates within a broad variety of healthcare disciplines. Most of the roles they needed to fill were within the ‘no high cost’ NHS cap area, which meant they were competing with other employers offering higher rates of pay.
The Solution
We knew we had to work extra hard to identify suitable candidates; those who we knew would enjoy working at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Our consultants went to great lengths to understand the benefits of working in each locality and were able to translate the benefits back to candidates.
Immediately, we were able to assist the Trust with block-booking based vacancies within community settings, which helped relieve some of the frontline pressures.
Sanctuary Health worked closely with the Trust to overcome the challenges that they were facing. To this day, this involves regular review meetings to share information on the market.
Having recruited over 70 candidates, the Trust is confident in our ability to offer innovative resourcing solutions to help build a more resilient workforce. So much so that it has invited Sanctuary Health to assist with its permanent recruitment.
