Our compliance processes closely follow the recruitment guidelines for those working with vulnerable people to meet the highest standards required by any health or social care employer.
Face-to-face registration
Before we can offer you your ideal role, one of our registration officers will meet with you face-to-face to verify who you are and check your documentation.
Compliance checklist
Our standard compliance checks include:
Proof of identity (provided in person)
Full employment history
Verification of professional registration
Checking of professional referee details for the last 5 years
Verification of training and qualifications
Disclosure and Barring Service and relevant overseas police checks
Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
Check on up-to-date statutory and role-specific training
Occupational health screening (for relevant services)
This approach ensures our recruitment services are always compliant and that we adhere to the safe recruitment guidelines for those working with vulnerable people, as set out through local and national government, as well as the Crown Commercial Services, Collaborative Procurement Partnership, and HealthTrust Europe framework teams.
Advanced security checks for specific roles
If you're considering applying for a healthcare or pharmacy role within the criminal justice sector, many employers will ask you toget security clearance first. This is because you may have access to restricted areas or sensitive information. But don't worry; our compliance team will make sure that you're suitable for the job you've applied for.
If you need extra security checks, we'll support you through every step of the application process so you can get the clearances needed. Usually, clearance is granted based on the terms of your employment or the length of the project. But if anything changes, you can always transfer your clearance to your new employer. Common types of clearance include:
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
These are completed when you apply for the job and are renewed every year. We're a DBS umbrella body, which means we can process online DBS applications in-house and get you results faster.National Offender Management Service (NOMS) clearance
You will need this if you're working in a prison.Police Vetting
For those working in a police environment.
Lastly, we’ll need to apply for an overseas police check if you've been outside the UK for more than 6 months.
