About the Role:

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for the role of Recovery Navigator within our client's Dependency and Recovery Services. As a Recovery Navigator, you will work in a hybrid model within a flexible, multi-disciplinary team across various community delivery sites. This role involves supporting adult male prison leavers and those on community orders within the probation services to implement their action plans and navigate their recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

  • Conduct risk and comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop and maintain action plans.
  • Deliver one-to-one sessions and group work, both in-person and virtually.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders and signpost to relevant agencies.

Support and Interventions:

  • Provide a range of support across all complexity levels.
  • Enhance access to treatment and support for individuals with substance use disorders and other complex needs.
  • Opportunity to become a subject matter expert in specific vulnerable groups or needs.

Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Work closely with probation and substance misuse services.
  • Support individuals with community appointments.
  • Participate in team meetings and multi-disciplinary reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements and performance targets.
  • Report safeguarding concerns promptly and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience in the criminal justice and substance misuse sectors.
  • Experience in managing high caseloads, conducting assessments, and maintaining case records.
  • Ability to deliver one-to-one and group interventions using motivational and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Effective communication skills and professional boundary setting.
  • Ability to work with key partners and manage workloads effectively.
  • Commitment to equal opportunity and GDPR requirements.

Desirable:

  • Personal experience of addiction or imprisonment (with specified clean time or release period).
  • Experience providing counselling services to those with health and wellbeing or substance misuse issues.
  • Knowledge of the 12-step recovery process and the Recovery Agenda.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in substance misuse or relevant experience in a comparable role.
  • Desirable qualifications in advice and guidance, counselling, or teaching.

Additional Information:

  • Predominantly Monday - Friday, 09:00 am - 17:00 pm, with some flexibility for out-of-office work.
  • Occasional requirement to attend head office for training.
