Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Independent management of dysphagia and communication
  • Managing complex cases 
  • Supervision of staff 
  • Discharge planning 

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

  • Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Stroke experience 
  • Highly desirable: tracheostomy, video fluoroscopy, FEES
