Here is an opportunity to join the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council as a Locum Social Worker in the Young Adults Transitions Team. Based in Sandwell, this role offers a competitive rate of £32 per hour for a full-time position of 37 hours per week. We're actively seeking a committed and resourceful qualified Social Worker with experience in Adult Social Work. What you will do:
- Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for individuals with Learning Disabilities or Autism
- Conduct safeguarding investigations and mental capacity assessments, ensuring best interest decisions are made
- Perform outcome-focused assessments and support planning to meet the care and support needs of vulnerable adults
- Work with a diverse group of clients, including those with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and complex needs
- Apply knowledge of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act 2005
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
