What you will do:
- Conduct home visits to gather comprehensive information to establish any safeguarding concerns.
- Perform initial child and family needs assessments and s47 enquiries, coordinating statutory meetings as necessary.
- Provide short-term interventions and liaise with other teams to smoothly transition cases as required.
- Engage in duty rota cover, accommodating the reactive nature of front-line social work.
- Work within the legal framework to ensure the safety of children, which includes undertaking emergency protection order applications and care proceedings.
- Respond to the ever-changing needs of the service, being prepared for some short-notice visits.
References will be requested for any candidates offered an interview, and a DBS check will be undertaken for any candidate offered a post. Compliance with DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions is mandatory.
