Main Duties:

  • You will join a team where we are all about relationship-based and strengths-based management, and where Team Managers work together across the service to provide an excellent service to families, and support and develop our teams.
  • Be encouraged to be an autonomous manager, but you’ll be supported all the way by your colleagues and your line manager.
  • Expected to provide support to existing staff within the assessment teams and the family safeguarding teams who have a balance of experienced and newly qualified workers.
  • Work with skilled adult-focussed practitioners and enjoy positive relationships with managers in the agencies who are part of our Family Safeguarding model. Workers in our Family Safeguarding teams received positive feedback during our last Ofsted inspection and team diagnostics, for their proactive and thoughtful support to children and their families and the quality of their care planning

Requirements of the Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Recent managerial experience, working as a TM, DTM or ATM etc.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services
  • Need to be passionate about relationship-based social work, proud of your profession, and able to reflect and think creatively about how to support your team and contribute to the organisation as a whole.
