Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5 and nearly 1000 reviews has an exciting Locum opportunity available for an experienced Social Work Senior Practitioner to join a well-established Children’s service based in Durham. This is a non-case holding role within our Children in Care service for a social worker to support the service by completing assessments (Placement with Parent assessments and Child and Family assessments) and to support the service as a duty role in terms of responding to duty crisis and helping visit children when needed to support workers on sick and annual leave. We do support workers to work at home should they wish to, however the successful candidate for this post will need to prepared to visit children as and when needed, given the speciality of this role so may need to be office based more often than not.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services
