Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's team on a Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward at a private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children, currently rated as “Good” by the CQC. As a Senior Staff Nurse within our client's Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the department. Your expertise will be pivotal in mentoring junior nurses, leveraging your extensive clinical knowledge to guide and support them. Additionally, you will assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse. The role is diverse, encompassing tasks such as developing and assessing holistic care plans for children in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, participating in audits, and engaging in quality improvement projects to enhance our care provision. Shift Pattern:

  • Full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexibility required to work long days, nights & weekends

What You'll Bring:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care needs
  • Desirable experience with tracheostomised patients
  • Proficiency in addressing Safeguarding issues
  • Demonstrated teaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent grasp of clinical governance and experience in audits
  • Desirable experience in supervising and assessing students and leading shifts
