What you will do:

  • Manage an allocated caseload, making informed decisions on complex and high-risk cases related to child protection, care and support, and court action.
  • Conduct assessments and design care and support plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and align with allocated budget parameters.
  • Work collaboratively with various services to optimize resource allocation for individuals needing care and support.
  • Apply advanced Social Worker techniques to address the unique needs of individuals and families, adapting strategies where necessary.
  • Safeguard the welfare of adults and children at risk, making critical decisions in crisis situations.
  • Participate in a duty system on a rota basis, responding promptly to cases and executing immediate crisis intervention.
  • Mentor and supervise team members, students, and new social workers, sharing best practices and supporting career development.
  • Prepare reports for court proceedings, attend court, and conduct best interest assessments where necessary.
