We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Community Team within Community Social Work in Cambridge. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership in complex cases involving assessment and support planning, ensuring the safety and risk management for service users and others.
  • Compile concise and informative reports based on comprehensive evidence for various purposes, including legal proceedings.
  • Facilitate support planning with service users, ensuring identified outcomes are met, and engage with carers, providing advice and conducting assessments as required.
  • Oversee and manage budgets for arranging services and support packages, while leading and supporting team members to ensure accountability in case management.
  • Take the lead in adult safeguarding investigations, providing expert knowledge on processes and policies, and making independent decisions in complex situations.
  • Participate in team development, offering line management, supervision, and induction to new team members, while implementing quality assurance systems.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to develop integrated care plans that promote independence and secure appropriate funding resources.
  • Continuously update and share knowledge on social policy and practices, promoting service user empowerment and upholding professional values.
