We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's social worker with over three years of post-qualification experience to join our dynamic Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Service in Liverpool. If you have the creativity, motivation, and commitment to improve outcomes for children and ensure a positive difference in their lives, this role could be perfect for you. We are seeking someone with a strong career background in children and families, with in-depth knowledge of fostering alongside a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, legislation, and statutory guidance.
Placement is available until October 2025, with the expectation of committing to this full period. This role requires the ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload with a focus on being child-centred in your approach. Additionally, candidates must hold a valid driver's licence and be able to commit to at least three days on-site in Liverpool each week.

What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive fostering assessments to ensure potential foster carers can provide stable and nurturing homes for children.
- Manage a diverse caseload, making critical decisions in the recruitment and assessment process to improve placement outcomes.
- Work closely with foster carers, providing support and guidance to ensure the best possible care for children and young people.
- Stay up-to-date with fostering legislation and statutory guidance, ensuring all procedures align with best practice standards.
