Their state-of-the-art facility will be a 22-bed service providing specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy for individuals with complex long-term neurological conditions, focusing on neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy, and ventilator care.

The centre is designed with the latest high dependency equipment, including ceiling track hoists, wall-mounted suction, and oxygen facilities. It also boasts well-equipped therapy areas, spacious lounges, and wheelchair-accessible gardens.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Conduct neurological assessments using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to create appropriate treatment plans.
  • Positively impact individuals' lives by improving their quality of life through your developed plans.
  • Communicate effectively within the team to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Foster good working relationships at all times.
  • Participate in goal planning and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Produce high-quality, accurate, and concise reports and documentation.
  • Use reflective practice and established outcome measures to evaluate treatments.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to therapy and care assistants.
  • Manage your time effectively to plan and prioritise your caseload.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A relevant Physiotherapy Degree or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based best practice in physiotherapy.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and inspection processes.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Experience with individuals in prolonged disorders of consciousness, including respiratory input, is desirable but not essential.
