Main duties of the Occupational Therapist/Speech and Language Therapist:
- Work as part of multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver highly specialist interventions according to the agreed service packages of care and pathways
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with parents / carers and other stakeholders, using highly developed negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain, develop and promote excellence in clinical practice within the specialist area of the service, with reference to current research and evidence-based practice, contributing to safe effective practice in the specialist clinical area
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist/Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
- Will be working with clients at bases / children centres, however must have own transport & be prepared to travel to meet service needs.
