Location: Amersham

Contract Type: Locum 3 month initial contract

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Duties of the Podiatrist

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' foot health, identifying conditions like ulcers, infections, and other complications, especially in high-risk groups such as individuals with diabetes
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, which may involve wound care, debridement, and other interventions to manage and alleviate foot ulcers and related conditions
  • Provide specialized care for foot wounds, including the selection and application of appropriate dressings, monitoring healing progress, and adjusting treatments as necessary to promote optimal recovery

Requirements of the Podiatrist

  • Qualified podiatrist i.e. Degree or equivalent within Podiatry
  • Recent experience within podiatry
  • Registered with the HCPC as a podiatrist to work in the UK
  • NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Locums would be required to have skills in High-Risk patient care and ulcer patient care
  • Able to work independently
  • Car driver required – able to travel across county as part of role
