Role Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a Lead Band 8 Physiotherapist to join our client and provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and interventions for a caseload of children with complex needs. This role also includes the clinical development of staff and the growth and development of the service to meet the hospital's needs. Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of work.
  • Manage a complex caseload independently, handling approximately 30-50% billable units per day.
  • Utilise expert clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and advanced objective assessment skills for children with complex conditions.
  • Perform specialist physiotherapy assessments for clients with diverse and complex needs, including acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism, motor coordination difficulties, and developmental delay.
  • Provide supervision to junior and senior therapists, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
  • Support the Head of Therapies in organising and managing the Paediatric and Women’s Health Physiotherapy team, including setting priorities, identifying issues, and developing cost-effective work practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in acute, community, or education settings
  • Previous experience in people management and leading a team
  • Proficiency in paediatric physio assessments and interventions relevant to a paediatric client group
  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments in paediatrics relevant to your field
