Pay Rate: £12.00 (PAYE) or £15.05 (umbrella) per hour

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a team in Sheffield, providing essential support to young people with high needs.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in removing barriers to learning and promoting effective participation in education. Working under the direction of tutors and managers, you will support small groups and individuals, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and addressing the support needs of young people with high needs
- Acting as a key worker, helping learners overcome barriers to education, including assisting with bursary applications
- Facilitating the transfer of information between services, settings, and families
- Conducting assessments and developing personalised learning strategies
- Supporting accreditation processes as directed by managers and tutors
- Contributing to target setting within the education, health and care plan (EHC) process
- Providing personal care, first aid, and medication as needed
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and OFSTED requirements are met
- Building and maintaining positive mentoring relationships with young people and colleagues
- Offering peer mentoring and support to team members
Applicant Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, young people, or adults in an educational or care setting
- Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
