Position: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract: Temporary (Approx. 3 Months)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Pay Rate: £13.34 per hour (PAYE) | £16.75 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about early childhood education? We’re looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Slough. This role offers an opportunity to support children’s learning, development, and well-being in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality education, care, and supervision in an early years setting.
- Plan and deliver engaging early learning activities that meet children’s developmental needs.
- Ensure the smooth daily operation of the setting, including curriculum delivery, safeguarding, and administration.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment, promoting high standards of behaviour and discipline.
- Work closely with local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition for children moving to their next phase of education.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold OFSTED standards.
- Promote the setting within the community and build strong relationships with parents, schools, and external agencies.
- Attend planning and staff meetings as required.
- Be flexible to work across different Children’s Centres and early years settings within the service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Early Years (EYFS) or equivalent in early education/childcare.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Compliance: Valid right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS check, and references covering the last three years.
