Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role within the Adults Community Mental HealthTeam.
Location: Preston
Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate)
Contract Type: Locum, 6-month contract/ongoing block booking.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (hours flexible between 8am and 8pm). Part time will be considered.
Main Duties:
- Assessing Needs and Planning Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments, plan, and deliver care, ensuring support from initial assessment to discharge from services.
- Collaborative Care Planning: Develop and evaluate care plans in partnership with service users, carers, and professionals, providing personalised care tailored to individual needs.
- Supporting Recovery: Work closely with individuals to empower and support them throughout their recovery journey.
- Community-Based Mental Health Support: Provide care and support for mental health service users in a community setting.
- Advocacy: Act as an advocate for individuals using the services, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Staff Supervision: Provide supervision and guidance to non-qualified staff to ensure effective care delivery.
- Understanding of Mental Health Act: Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Mental Health Act and its application in care.
- Partnership Working: Collaborate with external partners, including community-based services, social services, and other healthcare agencies, to ensure coordinated care.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions as required to support service users' mental health and wellbeing.
- Signposting: Direct individuals to appropriate services and resources that support their recovery and wellbeing.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- NMC Registration
