The salary for this permanent Cath Lab Nurse job is £28,000 - £37,500 per annum.

Main Duties:

Requirements of the Cath Lab Nurse:

  • NMC Registration: Must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Cath Lab post-graduation, with cardiology experience being an advantage. Training will be provided for those without specific cardiology background.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven track record as a supportive team member.
  • Cath Lab Procedures: Experienced in circulating and scrubbing for various cardiac catheterisation procedures.
  • Certification: Intermediate Life Support (ILS) qualification required.
  • Multidisciplinary Teams: Experience working in and across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clinical Reasoning: Skilled in applying clinical reasoning to manage a diverse range of complex patient cases.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Ability to challenge consultants and advocate for evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Actively share evidence-based practices with colleagues to enhance service delivery and standards.
  • Innovation: Experience in partnering with consultants to develop creative solutions for service improvement.
  • Nursing Skills: Competent across a broad range of nursing skills with strong professional and clinical knowledge.
  • Mandatory Training: Up-to-date with mandatory training, including infection control and health and safety.
  • Equipment Competency: Proficient in the use of medical equipment and devices.
  • IT Skills: Skilled in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Auditing: Experience in auditing clinical standards and departmental practices.
  • Professional Assessment: Strong skills in professional assessment and evaluation.
