What you will do:
- Provide a clinical and advisory SLT service to school-aged children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs, including complex cases like biomedical disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Participate in the creation and delivery of training for school staff, parents, carers, and colleagues in both health and education.
- Develop supervision skills by supporting junior therapists, assistants, and students.
- Collaborate with Speech and Language therapy assistants and SLT colleagues as part of an integrated team, engaging in multi-disciplinary work with colleagues in health, education, and the community.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat children referred school-aged within the Borough of Bexley.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based therapy interventions, demonstrating specialist clinical skills in speech sound disorders and autism spectrum disorder.
- Provide second opinions and supervision to team members, reflecting on clinical practice to identify strengths and areas for development.
- Maintain professional competence through personal development and training, ensuring compliance with HCPC Registration requirements and maintaining a professional portfolio.
- Undertake relevant public health skills training and updates as required.
